A class X student of St Augustine School, Nerul, Rakshit is today a known face in the satellite city after participating in the game show hosted by actor Amitabh Bachchan.

Till a few months ago, Rakshit have never imagined that he would ever meet Bachchan, but his intelligence made it possible.

He not only he met the superstar, but also spent some good moments in two consecutive School Champs special episodes of KBC, which was aired on November 8 and 9.

It was fantastic experience for him. “Being a participant of Kaun Banega Crorepati is something big for me. It was really fantastic,” says the ecstatic Rakshit.

He adds, “Even though the registration process is time consuming, I enjoyed it.”

Rakshit first completed the online registration which was followed by written test and visual round. He received a call from the KBC team after three months of all the tests he had taken. Then he was informed that he had been selected.

The KBC team visited his school in October and spoke to him, his friends and teachers about him. On the day of shoot, he was interviewed and given a chance to rehearse once or twice for the fastest finger first round.

“This is really a happy moment for the school. Participating in KBC and sitting with superstar Amitabh Bachchan is itself an achievement,” says Lily Zachariah, principal of the school.

In the game, Ganvir had already won Rs6.25 lakh, but his one mistake brought him down to Rs40,000. However, the proud principal says, “Participating in the game was the biggest prize money for him.”
