On World Braille Day, e-books distributed among visually-impaired

On January 4, Viviana mall distributed e-books among 20 visually-impaired students of different colleges across the city t mark the World Braille Day.

"The e-books will help the visually-impaired patrons to lead an independent life. The e-book also has Mp3 feature and they can even record in it," said a mall spokesperson.

The students will also be given a special training to understand the book so that they can operate it swiftly without any hassle, he added. The students who received the e-book came from far-flung areas like Pen and Raigad and were very happy at receiving the gift.
