Indrani Mukerjea, the former media magnate accused in the Sheena Bora murder case, was hospitalised at Sir JJ Hospital in Byculla on Friday night with complaints of chest pain and discomfort and discharged on Saturday evening. After running tests on her, doctors said she has developed age-related spondylosis, and that everything else is normal.

According to the doctors, she was first admitted to the hospital's casualty ward, and later shifted to the critical care unit (CCU). They found her medical condition to be stable after keeping her under observation.

The doctors, however, said that she is facing age-related spondylosis on the left side.

As per the dean of JJ Hospital, her chest x-ray is normal. Her ECG reports showed mild changes because of which she was made to undergo 2D echocardiography (2D echo) test.

SD Nanandkar, JJ Hospital's dean, said, "The 2D echo examination is normal. Additionally, there was a complaint of discomfort. We also conducted her chest x-ray. The x-ray report is normal. Since she was continuously complaining of chest pain, she was shifted to the CCU ward under Dr Wiqar Shaikh. The cardiologist has asked for a stress test for a detailed examination of cardiac involvement."

"She was also complaining of pain in the neck. Suspecting vertebral problem in a spine, an MRI of the cervical spine has been done. The reports confirm she has cervical spondylosis," he said.

"The chest x-ray was carried to rule out a major heart problem. There are no major health issues, she is conscious and stable. Since cardiac problems are unpredictable, we wanted to carry out a proper medical examination," the dean said.
