It was a dream come true for fifth standard student Drishti Harchandrai from J B Petit High School when none other than chief minister Devendra Fadnavis gave her a 20-minute interview. It all happened when Drishti who stays at Bay View building at Malabar Hills went to meet Fadnavis. However, she had arrived without any prior appointment. The security guard stopped her at the gate and did not allow her to go in. After waiting for a long time, she wrote a small letter on a page from her school notebook, addressed it to the chief minister and gave it to the security guard.

Drishti wrote that because of security she was not being allowed to enter, adding her mobile number and address. She further wrote that she wants to interview the chief minister for her school magazine and wanted to meet him. She also asked the chief minister to either call her or send someone to her house so that she would be sure that the messenger was definitely from the chief minister.

Fadnavis made it a point to invite her and give her a 15-20 minutes worth interview. Drishti was impressed and could hardly believe that a chief minister can be so simple and warm. She told dna, "When I first entered gate, I called up my father and told him that I was on my way to meet the chief minister. He rubbished me and then I gave the phone to the security guard and when he told my father, he was impressed and could not believe it. He told me to convey his best wishes to the chief minister which I did.'' Drishti said that it was a great honour for her to interview the chief minister.
