BEST bus strike called off in Mumbai; Amul highlights passengers woes

Finally, after bringing Mumbai to a halt over the past two days, BEST bus officials who were protesting against the new roster system have called off their strike. 

Citizens have been complaining about the problems faced as the examination season is on and other modes of transport were proving to be inconvenient. 

While taxi and auto rickshaw drivers made merry and over-charged passengers, BEST bus officials refrained from turning up for their regular duties.

This protest was against the roster system, which was prepared by an international firm and had a bigger break, which eventually prolonged duty hours for staff members. 

Amul, which has been taking taking up issues and presenting its stand with the Amul girl through their advertisements, presented a poster on this occassion. 

This poster shows a distraught Amul girl painting the BEST logo, converting BEST to PEST in a textual interpretation of problems faced by Mumbaikars. 

Kudos to the team for capturing the exact sentiments of Mumbaikars who get caught between the administrative and staff tiffs time and again!
