Sydney: Largest bash
The first on the itinerary would have to be Sydney Harbour, Australia, that (according to ANI) is set to have the world’s largest New Year’s Eve party with hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of fireworks and a
gigantic lighting array that illuminates the Harbour Bridge.

The celebrations, will for the first time, have fireworks displays that are computer designed, the Daily Telegraph reported. Central to this year’s show will be a 36sqm layered light platform installed on the side of the Bridge, which will beam out during the 12-minute midnight display. One man who will be a keen observer is Fortunato Foti, the fireworks director, who said this year will have never-before-seen pyrotechnics.

Ibiza: Party capital
If you’re a party-hearty person, you’ll be spoiled for choice when it comes to the nightlife, for this is the global headquarters of dance. In the mood for some Latin salsa? Or even slow rock? You’ll find most of the reveller’s letting their hair down at Pacha, known for its wild club nights!

London: Fireworks ahoy!
The Mayor of London’s New Year’s Eve fireworks is something to watch out for! The display, on the banks of the Thames sees at least 250,000 people thronging to enjoy it. A website mentions that it wouldn’t be London without Big Ben’s ‘bongs’ so the plan is to relay them across all viewing areas, before launching the largest annual fireworks display from London Eye.

The 9-minute display for the first time this year includes a specially created musical soundtrack, it says.

New york, Times Square: Bling-ville
This one’s a tradition! With the world’s fun seekers heading here, Times Square, NY, with its flashy neon signs and sea sweeping crowds are must-sees. A large ball with electric lights is raised and then lowered as the minute countdown to the new year starts with almost a million watchers and streaming confetti. A tip: Bring your own food as you enjoy the party.

Prague: Lovely snowscape
The beautiful city is dressed to welcome revellers with a white snowy landscape, ice skaters and happy shoppers. And come December 31, they will all gather together to ring in 2011. You may take a river cruise and groove to a DJ. The fireworks will go off in the Old Town’s Square,
