Human Resource Development Minister (HRD) Prakash Javadekar has described Ghanshyam Tiwari a disappointed and desperate man who has gone astray. Tiwari had quit the BJP and formed a new political party. Javadekar said on Tuesday that he (Tiwari) has gone astray and taken the wrong path. What can be said about the one who has gone astray, he remarked.

Replying to media queries during a press conference at the BJP state headquarters, Javadekar refuted all the allegations which were levelled by Tiwari the other day.

Tiwari had said that there is a situation like an undeclared emergency in the state and the country. “These allegations are wrong. In any emergency, the media cannot ask questions like this. There is currently a law like RTI. You can complain against the government. There is a complete record of your complaint,” said Javadekar. “I do not want to say anything on the allegations of those who have gone astray,” he added.

Addressing the media on the 43rd anniversary of emergency, Javadekar said that it was a black spot on Indian democracy and an assault on democracy of the country.

“We got independence after 150 years of struggle. The “black night” of June 25-26 did the work of snatching the freedom from the countrymen. Due to the greed of power of a person (former PM Indira Gandhi), the entire country was made a prison. The freedom of the press and the democratic rights of the common citizens were snatched,” said the HRD Minister.

Javadekar, while targeting the Congress, said that inflation increases when the Congress comes to power. If there is a government of BJP or any other party then inflation comes down low. The existence of Congress is for the power of a family. The BJP has always stood for country first, party next and self last,” he added.
