18-yr-old dies as live wire falls on him

A 15-year-old boy was electrocuted while his aunt suffered serious burns as a 11 KV live wire fell over them in Sameli Kalyan village under Raipur police station of Jhalawar district on Thursday.             

The victim identified as Arjun Meena (15), a resident of Salari village under Raipur police station, along with his maternal aunt Ghisebai (35) and cousin Devnarayan (15) were going to their agriculture field on a motorbike on Thursday. As they were passing through the paved path between the fields near Sameli Kalyan village, a 11KV power live wire fell over them. Arjun Meena died instantaneously while the other two were rescued by the villagers. The woman however sustained burns and she is undergoing medical treatment at CHC, Raipur.

Police on Thursday handed over the body to the family members after postmortem and initiated investigation into the matter after lodging a case in this connection under section 174 of Cr. P.
