The Ghatlodia police have registered a complaint against Naulesh Patel, believed to be close to former state home minister Amit Shah, for issuing threat.

According to police, Dilip Mewada, a resident of Ichhanagar society, lodged a complaint on Monday, stating that one Anand Acharya and Anil Shukla took him to Patel after he was returning from a garba event. Mewada is also believed to be close to Amit Shah.

Mewada said that a drunk Patel wanted himself to be felicitated at the event and even gave him a letter in this connection. When the former tore the letter, Patel allegedly threatened to kill him and said that he controls Ghatlodia the way Modi controls Gujarat.
Mewada works with ADC Bank. Earlier too Naulesh Patel was involved in a case during the AMC poll for brandishing a revolver against some Congress candidates.
