Telangana issue: Andhra Congress to present its views to Sri Krishna committee

Congress leaders from all regions in Andhra Pradesh would come together to present their views to the Sri Krishna committee on the contentious Telangana issue.

Though the party leaders are divided on regional lines, they would meet the committee under the leadership of state Congress president D Srinivas, state municipal administration minister A Raamanarayana Reddy told reporters in Hyderabad.

Congress leaders from Telangana and non-Telangana regions have been speaking in different voices on meeting the Sri Krishna committee.

It was expected that the leaders from different regions would make presentations to the committee separately as their TDP counterparts did.

Though the Congress leaders would go together, they will express their region-wise demands, Raamanarayana Reddy indicated.

The Sri Krishna committee has asked the Congress leaders to meet them in the first week of July.

The panel is currently in its final stages of consultative process and it will undertake field visits in different parts of Andhra Pradesh in July.
