The newly formed Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) has announced the formation of an ad hoc committee for Madhya Pradesh. The SDPI formed the state-level committe of the party under the leadership of advocate Sajid Siddiqui at a meeting here yesterday in the presence of its national general secreatry A Sayeed.
    
Soon after the formation of the committee, Sayeed told reporters that the aim and objective of the party was to stand for social justice, liberty, equality and fraternity enshrined in the Indian constitution as it has full faith to the constitution of India. He said that the party will hold its first national delegates meet on October 18 in New Delhi where its manifesto will be released by it national president E Abubacker.
    
National working committee member Maulana Usman Beg said that the SDPI will welcome people of all castes and religions to its fold without any discrimination and will work unitedly for the upliftment of the under-privileged members of society.
    
Beg said that the other office-bearers of state were vice president Ishratullah Khan (Gwalior), general secretary, Abdul Rauf (Indore), secretaries, Irfanul-ul-Haque (Jabalpur) and Mohammed Saleem, (Indore) and treasurer, Akhtar Ali Ansari (Sheopur).
