Rosaiah invites investment from Singapore, Taiwan in Andhra Pradesh

Andhra Pradesh chief minister K Rosaiah today invited Singapore to invest in sectors like tourism, Information Technology and service industry in the state.

Interacting with the Singapore Consul General (Chennai) Ajit Singh who called on him at his residence today, the chief minister said his government was ready to provide all necessary infrastructure and incentives for investors in the state, a press release from the chief minister’s Office said.

The consul general, in turn, said Singapore has a special interest in investments in Andhra Pradesh and pointed to the exclusive ministerial arrangement for boosting trade between India and Singapore and bringing business delegations and investors here.

Rosaiah told the visiting official that despite certain adverse factors like recent floods and drought, the state’s economy looked good and hoped investors would have better opportunities for growth in Andhra Pradesh.

Meanwhile, the chief minister also invited investments from Taiwan into the state during an interaction with a high-level business delegation from Taiwan, after it had visited various business hubs in and around Hyderabad over the last three days, the release said.
