A man, who allegedly raped a married woman at gun point, has been expelled from his village in the district as per a Panchayat ruling.

A man, who allegedly raped a married woman at gun point, has been expelled from his village in the district as per a Panchayat ruling which also ordered him to be beaten by a shoe five times. Jameel, a resident of Umarpur village in the district, had allegedly raped a woman of his village on June 12.
       
The relatives of the victims claimed that they had to appeal before the village Panchayat after the police denied to lodge their complaint. Police, however, said that no one had come to them to complain about the incident. The Panchayat also ordered the accused to compensate the victim with Rs 5,000. Gram Pradhan Rafey Khan said both the party had accepted the decision.
