Police seize 8.5 kgs of ganja in Madhya Pradesh

Police have recovered 8.5 kilograms of ganja worth Rs 16,000 from Charkheda area near Itarsi Bhusaval section of the Central Railways.

The ganja, stuffed under the seat of a motorcycle on the rail tracks,  was seized after the bike rider was run over by a train on Wednesday, police said today.

The person was identified as 35-year-old Khema from the Bhagwanpura area of the Khargone district.
   
A case under the Narcotics Act has been registered in connection with the seizure.
