MP Minister has a lucky escape

The Madhya Pradesh minister of State for home Naryanan Singh Kushwa on Wednesday had a narrow escape when a burning torch accidentally fell on him, police said.

The minister who was present at a function to mark the 151st anniversary of Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi, the torch accidentally fell on him and his kurta caught fire, police said.

The minister also suffered burn injuries on his arm, they said and added that two photographers who were present on the occasion also received burn injuries, they said.

Kushwa and both the photographers were rushed to the nearby hospital, police said.
