With a view to paying tribute to Blessed Mother Teresa, the Indian Railways has started a railway exhibition named 'Mother Express', which will arrive in the city today. The citizens of Ahmedabad will get a fine opportunity to understand and know the life of the Catholic nun, who established the famous Missionaries of Charity and who is known the world over for her work for the poor and downtrodden of our society.

'Mother Express' is a photo exhibition depicting her photographs and her life, which will be on display for the public. Also, the exhibition will have photographs, written material, and the works of the noble lady. At this two-day exhibition, visitors will get to know about Mother's compassion and her love for the people. People from various walks of life and school students are expected to throng this exhibition. Many schools have already confirmed their visit to the place.

The organiser of the Mother Teresa Centenary Celebration in Ahmedabad, Father Cedric Prakash told DNA: "Mother Teresa loved the poorest of the poor, downtrodden and orphan people.

Hence, the inauguration of 'Mother Express' will also be done by these people, who are looked after by the nurses of the missionaries. The inauguration will take place in the morning."

The train exhibition will be open for visitors from 10 am to 8 pm.

The train was flagged off from Kolkata on August 26, on the occasion of Mother's 100th birth anniversary. Since then, the train has stopped at various cities in India. The train’s next destination is Rajkot.

Mother Teresa won the Bharat Ratna (India's highest civilian award) in the year 1980 and was also awarded the Nobel Prize in the year 1979.
