A complaint filed for a missing boy has started to intrigue cops.

The complaint filed by Geeta Patel, a resident of Naranpura, says that her son Nilesh, 17, went missing from their house. The Naranpura police filed a non-cognisable offence complaint, but a call to Patel from an unidentified number demanding a ransom came as a twist. Sources said that the caller demanded Rs5,000 for handing over the missing boy.

When Patel reached the spot as asked by the caller to hand over the ransom money, police personnel who were also present there, apprehended the caller. It was found that the caller was none but a servant of Patel. During interrogation, the servant revealed that Nilesh was in love with a girl and he had even sold off his bike to get some money. Now, police officials say that the entire case seems to be a stunt initiated by the boy. A police official at the Naranpura police station said, "All of this seems to be a stunt by the boy. We do not see a case of abduction in this issue."
