Handcuffed accused in theft case slips from hospital in Madhya Pradesh

The accused Raju Ratiya 23, was handed over to the police, after people caught him while he was attempting to steal a mobile phone and Rs800 at village Kodiyakheda on October 14.

An accused in a theft case has escaped with handcuffs from the district hospital here,
police said today.
    
The accused Raju Ratiya 23, was handed over to the police, after people caught him while he was attempting to steal a mobile phone and Rs800 at village Kodiyakheda on October 14 near here, they said. After this, he was produced in a court and thereafter taken for a test to the district hospital from where he slipped yesterday, police said.
    
Meanwhile, superintendent of police Yogesh Deshmukh has suspended head constable Rajendra Singh Thakur for being lax in performing duties in this incident.
