Dalit girl abducted and raped by two youths in Uttar Pradesh

A minor dalit girl was allegedly abducted and raped by two youths in Munshiganj area, police said today.

The 14-year-old girl was kidnapped and raped by Monu Singh and Santosh, when she was returning from a marriage function in Pitambarpur village late last night, her father alleged.

However, superintendent of police Vijay Singh Meena said that though the girl was kidnapped and a rape attempt was made, the accused failed as the victim raised an alarm.

Medical examination of the girl is being conducted, he said.
