Woman molested by clerk, 3 others in Kanpur

A clerk of Kanpur Development Authority and his three accomplices were booked for allegedly molesting a woman in a moving car here.

The woman, daughter of a police official, wanted to purchase a land in Naubasta area of the city and one of her acquaintances had introduced her to the KDA clerk.

The clerk called the woman at Panki Chowk area here last evening on pretext of showing a plot, police said.

When she reached, the clerk and his three friends took her to a deserted place in a car, police said.

According to the complaint filed by the woman, they tried to molest her in the car, and after she raised an alarm she was dumped by them near Sanchedi area last night.

A hunt is on to nab the accused who are absconding, police said.
