Jayant Sinha, Minister of State for Civil Aviation, on Thursday said the government is in discussions with stakeholders on finding the “right way” to have a ‘no-fly’ list to deal with unruly air passengers.

In the backdrop of Shiv Sena MP Ravindra Gaikwad assaulting an Air India staffer, the Centre is actively working on creating a ‘no-fly’ list in a bid to curb incidents of unruly and disruptive behaviour of air passengers,
Jayant Sinha, Minister of State for Civil Aviation, on Thursday said the government is in discussions with stakeholders on finding the “right way” to have a ‘no-fly’ list to deal with unruly air passengers.
Sinha also said there has been an increase in incidents of unruly behaviour of air passengers, and added that the question now is what can be done “pro-actively and preemptively”. “We are in talks with all stakeholders to decide the right way to have a national ‘no-fly’ list,” he said.
