Shirdi Saibaba Sansthan snubs Shankaracharya Swaroopanand; declines invitation to conference

The Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust, Shirdi has decided not to send a representative to the Bruhad Dharma Sansad, for which the trust was invited by the Shankaracharya Swaroopanand of Dwarka Peeth.

Bruhad Dharma Sansad​ is a conference being held at Kawardha in Kabirdham district of Chhatisgarh on August 23-24, 2014

After the controversy and repercussions that erupted on the statements of the Shankaracharya Swaroopanand against Sai Baba, a delegation on behalf of the Shankaracharya had visited Shirdi, few days back and extended an invitation to the members of the trust to put forth their views at the Bruhad Dharma Sansad.

Stating that the trust has decided not to send any representative to the conference, the public relations officer of the temple trust Mohan Yadav said that the trust did receive the invitation from the delegation sent by Shankaracharya.

After deliberations on it in a meeting of the trust, it was decided not to send a representative to the conference.
