Asserting that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was acting according to the Constitution, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said on Thursday that he was confident that relations between all officers and ministers are cordial and constructive.

"We are sure what we are doing is according to the Constitution. Transfer postings became an industry in Delhi and we stopped that, and that's why people are opposing us," Sisodia told media persons here.

"I can confidently say that relations between all officials and ministers are very cordial and constructive," he added.

His comments come in the backdrop of the Delhi IAS Officers' Association resolution yesterday urging Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Union Home Minister
Rajnath Singh to create a conducive atmosphere where officers can function in a free and impartial manner.

On Wednesday, Sisodia had written to Lieutenant Governor Jung asking him under what provisions of the Constitution was he issuing directions and orders to the AAP Government in Delhi.

He sought the information under the provisions of the Constitution, the GNCT Act and the TBR.

Jung had earlier reiterated his executive powers and authority over administering the affairs of the capital city vis-a-vis the authority and powers to be exercised by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal under the
Constitution.

In his letter Jung had written that he had 'constitutional power, to do transfers and postings'.
