Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reportedly asked the central govt officials to scrap old projects which have not been able to take due to various reasons.

According to a report in The Times of India, during a web-based interaction with the state chief secretaries and heads of governments at Centre, the Prime Minister asked the officers to not wait endlessly for the states' support and scrap such projects. PM Modi reportedly said that instead of waiting for the projects to begin, it is better to take up new ones.

Quoting sources, the TOI report says that when a held up railway project came up during interaction, PM Modi suggested this.

The same report further says that PM Modi also reviewed the progress in handling and resolution of grievances related to disbursement of scholarships/fellowships to students. "He asked the officials to see that grievances are redressed within a day," said the sources to TOI.
