The Punjab police has arrested one more terrorist of Khalistan Zindabad Force on Tuesday night near Khalsa College in Amritsar, Punjab for the alleged possession of two pistols from a consignment of large arms from Pakistan. In addition to this, he was also charged with destroying the drone.

The accused has been as identified as Sajan Preet Singh, a resident of Bandala village. The intelligence branch official said that the terrorist will be presented before the court on Wednesday to obtain remand. Reportedly, police investigations are underway to find the weapons hidden by the terrorist.

Investigations revealed that Pakistan based terror outfits have been smuggling arms into Punjab through newer technology of drones since August.

The teams of SSOC and Counter-Intelligence arrested four terrorists of Khalistan Zindabad Force and seized five AK-47 rifles, magazines, satellite phone and fake currency of Rs 10 lakh from their possession.

Till October 3, all the terrorists are in the custody of the State Special Operations Cell and after interrogating all the accused intensely, the team will be finding the sleeper cells in the vicinity along with the recovery of weapons. Meanwhile, departmental sources remarked that there has been a nexus between the Khalistani terrorists and terror outfits like Jaish-e-Mohammad after the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A in the region of Jammu and Kashmir. In fact, both have been involved in arms smuggling ever since then.
