Though a loyal soldier of the Arvind Kejriwal camp now, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader, poet and self-styled comedian Kumar Vishwas was not always very happy with his party chief.

Vishwas fell out with Kejriwal after the Lok Sabha elections in 2014. It originated in Amethi, where Vishwas was the AAP candidate. His grudge was that the party did not provide him adequate help during the campaign, and Kejriwal himself grew distant from him.

Though a reconciliation took place, courtesy Manish Sisodia, who is said to be close to both Vishwas and Kejriwal, it seems Vishwas hasn't forgotten everything completely.

dna has access to a chain of mails from December 2014, where one Ajay Vohra, who remains unidentified, accuses Vishwas of accepting "black money" on his tour and sleeping with a "volunteer student" in Amethi, and being caught by his wife.

After much discussions with senior leaders on what to do and who to refer the complaint to, at 10 am on December 24, Vishwas wrote a mail saying that even though no one seems to have identified the complainant, Kejriwal was quick to offer him reassurances of an investigation.

Kejriwal immediately consulted Parliamentary Affairs Committee members on what to do next. If Arvind knows this Ajay Vohra, why did Kejriwal not talk to me first on this whole affair? Vishwas says.

In the mail, Vishwas asks Kejriwal to clarify his stand on Vishwas' reputation and also complained that his wife's name is being maligned by an unknown man.

Vohra's mail, which was shot off to many senior leaders, says that "Arvind ji already have the clip".

This is in reference to an audio clip that Vohra mentions as proof against Vishwas, though he doesn't specify its contents.

Vohra adds that this is Kejriwal's big test -- to take action against his (Kejriwal's) "best friend". If the media were to expose the clip, "the image of the entire party will hurt," says his mail. But Vohra adds he will not send it to "outside people" and ask for "internal investigation".

Party leader Prashant Bhushan, Yogendra Yadav, Dilip Pandey, Ashutosh, Ashish Khetan, Manish Sisodia, Ashish Talwar, Sanjay Singh etc are in the chain mail and have replied, discussing what the appropriate action should be.

Yadav even said that the complainant's actions do not seem "noble" and look more like "slander". However, he added that Vohra has the right to complain if he has evidence. Bhushan recommended the matter to be taken up by the Lokpal.

Sources say investigation into the case never happened. This chain of mails originated when Vishwas and Kejriwal reconciled recently.

dna tried to contact most leaders in the chain mail, but could not get any response.
