Karnataka: Congress leader accused of sexual harassment by woman

Congress leader BS Thammaiah has been accused of sexual harassment by a woman employed in the Karnataka Kodava Sahitya Academy in Madikeri.
 
The woman, AM Kusuma, has filed an FIR with the Madikeri police. She stated to the media that Congress leader BS Thammaiah has been harassing her ever since he took over as President of the Karnataka Kodava Sahitya Academy.
 
She also added that since he misbehaved with her in his office, there were CCTV cameras that had recorded some of his actions. She alleged that he removed the CCTV camera and erased the footage as well.

Kusuma went on to state that when she spoke to Registrar of the Academy he asked her ‘cooperate’ with the President. She has also filed a police case against the Registrar. 

Meanwhile, Congress leader B S Thammaiah has denied the allegations and accused Kusuma of wrongdoing and misappropriation of academy funds.
