The JD(U) runs an alliance government with the BJP in Bihar, besides being a part of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) at the Centre.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal (United), on Saturday evening, announced its support to the BJP for “formation of a stable government in Nagaland”.
The JD(U) runs an alliance government with the BJP in Bihar, besides being a part of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) at the Centre.
In all, the JD (U) polled 4.6% (over 45,000) votes in Nagaland, and bagged one seat — G Kaito Aye of JD(U) won the Satakha assembly constituency by over 2,500 votes. On a few seats like Sanis and Tuli, the JD(U) contestants were a close second.
