India won't forgive Kejriwal, Nirupam for disrespecting army: Dharmendra Pradhan

Calling Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam 'bankrupt' for demanding proof for the Indian army's surgical strikes across the Line of Control (LoC) last month, Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan on Wednesday said both leaders were unable to digest army?s achievements, and thus were making illogical statements.

Pradhan claimed both leaders were bent upon making headlines in the Pakistani media instead of celebrating the achievements of the Indian Army,.

"Questioning the authenticity of the surgical strike be, it Kejriwal or Sanjay Nirupam, they are mentally bankrupt, unable to digest our achievements and thus, making such illogical statements. The nation will never forgive such people, words don't even begin to describe how shameful these comments are," Pradhan told ANI.

"They don't respect the Indian Army. All they care about is how many papers in Pakistan have published them in their headlines," he added.

Congress leader, Sanjay Nirupam on Thursday courted controversy by asking the Centre to give proof of the surgical strike that took place in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK), while asserting that India was being insulted by Pakistan in the international arena for not doing so.

However, minutes after his comments, the Congress distanced itself from it.

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Congress leader P.Chindambaram also drew flak from Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad for demanding proof of the surgical strikes.
