Former External Affairs Minister and Congress leader Salman Khurshid on Wednesday lashed out at Pakistan in wake of the recent terror attack in Punjab's border district of Gurdaspur and asked the government to come up with an impactful solution to ensure that such untoward incidents do not take place in the future. "We have had the evidences, proofs and information from a very long time that there have been conspiracies against our nation. We have been cheated and were hurt also. We have been providing the evidences to them, but we have not witnessed any proceedings being initiated on their part which is sad," Khurshid said.

"I don't want to blame the government because whatever the government will do it should be in favour of the nation. And if it will be in favour of the nation, we (Congress) will stand with them. But it's also our duty to ask them as to what is the difference between what you say and what you do. They say that we will not hold talks if there will be any terror attacks, but even after that they hold talks and there is no proof of a strong rebuttal from their end," he added.

The Ministry of Home Affairs had earlier said that the terrorists involved in the Gurdaspur terror attack, which has claimed the lives of several civilians and police personnel, are linked to terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba.
