Guess the mahagathbandhan has been gutted: Twitter reacts to Nitish Kumar's resignation as Bihar CM

Following his announcement that he had resigned as Bihar Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar on Wednesday became the top trending topic on India’s Twitter timeline, with people echoing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s sentiments that he was fighting corruption. However, others saw it as just another political stunt, with certain sections of social media even terming him an opportunist.

Nitish Kumar resigned on Wednesday amidst high drama after RJD leader and former alliance partner Lalu Prasad Yadav claimed that it was his party that was responsible for Nitish sitting at the CM seat.
