1. Finance Bill: Major points made by FM Arun Jaitley in response to opposition's criticism
Finance Minister Arun Jaitley spoke in the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday and tried to allay fears of the Opposition relating to the several amendments made to the Finance Bill. The FM said that only 76 lakh people earn above Rs 5 lakh whereas 2 crore take international flights every year. Read more here

The BMC budget for the year 2017-18 has been proposed at Rs 25141. 51 crore. This is 32.14% less than last year proposed budget of Rs 37052.15 crore. There is no hike in rates of the present taxes and no new taxes have been proposed in the budget for 2017-18. Read more here
