CRPF constable's son shoots himself with his father's revolver

An engineering student, the son of a CRPF constable, allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself in the head with his father's licensed revolver at the CRPF Group Centre in Jawaharnagar here today, the police said.

Rishu Singh (22), went to his house this afternoon after college, when no one was at home, bolted his bedroom from inside and shot himself in the head with his father Ravinder's .32 revolver, the police said.

Rishu's father Ravinder is a CRPF constable and hails from Jammu and Kashmir, the police said, adding that since no suicide note was found, the exact reasons behind the suicide are yet to be known.

The Alwal police has booked a case of suspicious death under Section 174 of the Criminal Procedure Code and are investigating further.
