Amid anger over sexual abuse of girls at shelter homes, a class 2 student was allegedly raped in a government-run school in the national capital.
The incident reportedly took place on August 8, in an NDMC school in Gole Market area when the victim was on her way home.
The accused stopped the victim and took her inside the water pumping room and raped her.
The child's family lives in slums near the school. The police have arrested an electrician.
The police have registered an FIR on the basis of a complaint filed by the girl's parents. The accused will be produced in a court.
