BMC demolishes illegal construction in Anil Kapoor's office

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on last Friday demolished an illegal alteration in Bollywood Actor Anil Kapoor's office located at Santacruz West.  The office cabin and a part of the office was removed.

A senior civic official said, "We have demolished a cabin and partition constructed inside the office. The demolition of the illegal structures were carried out on November 24." The demolition was carried out by the H west ward officials 

The BMC had already issued notice under the Maharashtra Regional Town Planning (MRTP) to regularise the illegal structure.  "We had issued a notice under Maharashtra Regional Town Planning (MRTP) Act, to the owner of the structure in September to regularise the illegal portion by applying to Building Proposal department or remove the illegal part. Following no action initiated by them, after the notice, we demolished the unauthorised part of the structure." Anil Kapoor's spokesperson was unavailable for comment.
