Barely a month since the BJP pulled out of the coalition government in Kashmir and the blame game has taken an ugly turn. A day after Mehbooba Mufti claimed that pressure is being mounted on PDP MLAs to leave the party and that NIA has been roped in to threaten raids, the BJP launched a blistering attack against her, calling her 'Rudali' who vistited "homes of terrorists to cry over their deaths.

"Mehbooba's claims that her party members are receiving threats from NIA are nothing but a falsehood because fact remains that she is not able to set her house in order. There is a mass rebellion in the PDP because she lacks competence to lead the herd. Blaming New Delhi for breaking her party is a move to do away with all the wrongdoings committed when she was in power," said Altaf Thakur, state spokesman of BJP.

Thakur said that Mehbooba has been known for her "Rudali nature" as she would often visit terrorists' homes when she was out of power and weep to project herself as anti-national. "People of Kashmir are now wise enough to understand the divisive politics being played by Mehbooba," he said.

The BJP state spokesman noted that Mehbooba's statement is the reflection of the fact that she is frustrated and is banking on lies to gain public sympathy.

"Sometimes, she claims that if New Delhi tries to break PDP, more people like Muhammad Yasin Malik or Syed Salahuddin will be born. Fact remains, all these things are mere ploys and political gimmicks to befool people and toe the separatist line," he said.
