West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has condemned the killing and called the incident "inhuman"
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee condemned the killing of a labourer from West Bengal in Rajasthan and termed the incident "inhuman".
Mohammad Afrazul was burnt alive and a video of the gruesome incident was uploaded on social media in Rajasthan's Rajsamand district. In the video, the laboured was seen hacked and burnt to death.
"We strongly condemn the heinous killing of a labourer from Bengal in Rajasthan. How can people be so inhuman. Sad," she said in a tweet.
According to SP of Rajsamand Manoj Kumar, the accused, who allegedly committed the crime yesterday, has been arrested and being interrogated.
The accused was also seen shouting at the victim in the video, IG of Udaipur Anand Srivastava said.
Rajasthan Home Minister Gulabchand Kataria condemned the incident and said the case has been handed over to SIT for further investigations.
The family of a labourer who was attacked with an axe and then burnt alive in Rajasthan today demanded strict action against the killer who allegedly also uploaded a video of the gruesome crime on social media.

The video, which has gone viral on the internet, shows a man raving about "love jehad", a term used by sections of Hindu activists to describe marriages between Hindu women and Muslim men, who are accused of seeking to propagate Islam.
"We want a thorough investigation to be conducted into the incident and the culprit to be punished," a relative of Afrazul told reporters in Malda.
Afrazul's family members said they did not know why he was killed. "We don't know the real reason behind his killing. He was the sole bread winner of the family. We came to know that the person who killed him had called him on the pretext of giving him work," a relative said.
