Passenger services on the Konkan Railway were disrupted on Tuesday morning after 12 wagons of a goods train derailed near Chiplun-Khed.
The accident took place when the goods train was travelling between Chiplun and Kamathe station at 7:45 am. However, no casulty was reported.
Konkan Railway (KR) officials have rushed to the site for an early clearance of the line.
Passenger carrying trains are likely to be regulated / diverted / cancelled or trans-shipment would be arranged, said KR officials.
