Actor Will Ferrell has hinted that the sequel to "Step Brothers" may never happen.

Both Ferrell and director Adam McKay said they are resisting the temptation to make the sequel to the 2008 comedy, reported Rolling Stone.

"You have to resist the temptation. And I think there are actually some people who like it more than the original. But then you always get that little bit of people saying, 'Awww, why'd they have to do that?'" Ferrell said.

However, one sequel, the 49-year-old actor has signed up for is "Daddy's Home 2," which will star Mark Wahlberg as well.
