Disney's new princess, Moana, is ready to rule your hearts in the new animated movie of the same name. Auli'i Cravalho, a newbie, is voicing the princess, and Wrestler-turned-actor, turned producer, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, has now turned a voice-over actor to play the demigod Maui.
In the new song released by the filmmakers, we a hear cheerful tune composed by Tony Award winner, and creator of Broadway phenomena called Hamilton, Lin-Manuel Miranda. Maui will help Moana on her journey to be a master wayfinder. The song is basically Maui bragging about all the good things he has done for the human kind, and how they are welcome for the gratefulness they may extend towards him.
Maui's tattoos have a life of their own, and they do all the dancing as the demigod sings about his heroic efforts. Starting from making a room for people by pushing the sky up above the land to pulling the islands up from the sea. What can he say? It's just his way of being him! Ron Clements and John Musker, directors responsible for Disney's iconic The Little Mermaid, and Aladdin are helming the project. Get ready to ride the waves as Moana comes to theatres in the US on November 23, 2016. The film will release in India on December 2, 2016.
