Actor Benedict Cumberbatch is set to host the next episode of Saturday Night Live.

The episode will be the final one before the US presidential election between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, reported Entertainment Weekly.

The is will mark the Doctor Strange star's first time as host of the sketch comedy series. He will be joined by musical guest Solange Knowles during the episode.

The 40-year-old actor's episode will air on November 5.

Cumberbatch follows Margot Robbie, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Emily Blunt, and Tom Hanks as hosts on this season of SNL.
