Cases of physical, verbal and sexual harassment is nothing new in Bollywood and TV industry. Glamour industry is known to be plagued by such incidents. Now, we heard of something unruly that happened on the sets of TV show Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi.

The show's creative head Tushar Thapliyal has accused the lead actor of the TV soap Abhishek Malik of physical assault. According to a report in SpotboyE, "The team of &TV’s Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi settled down for a briefing session two days ago. Reason? Producer Nivedita Basu had suggested a complete change in storyline to tackle the falling TRPs. The creative head, Tushar Thapliyal, informed the team that the lead actor, Abhishek Malik’s character will go from a hunky lad to a geeky simpleton. We hear, Abhishek wasn’t convinced with the decision and gave a Tushar a piece of his mind. Things went out of hand and soon the discussion snowballed into an argument. So much so, that team members had to interfere and pull the two apart."

Tushar opened up about the whole incident and spoke to the portal. He clearly mentioned how Abhishek literally harassed him.

He said - "As my work demands, I am required to share the creative ideas/ changes with actors. As of now, the show is going through a change in storyline. During a briefing session two days back, I was explaining to Abhishek Malik that he would have to let go of his ‘hunk’ image to portray a geeky character. It’s normal for actors to disapprove of change and give inputs, however, Abhishek was adamant that he would not go through the look change and became rather rude. While I was willing to discuss what can be done, Abhishek took the conversation to another level and began demeaning me on baseless grounds. I spoke to project head, Pankaj Kaushik, to help me in the situation, but before he could do anything, Abhishek came charging towards me. People on set had to pull us apart. I work for respect and have been associated with big names from the industry. I can handle tantrums but assaulting a colleague is not acceptable. I am quitting the show."

But Abhishek on the other hand rubbished the claims and his side of the story seems to be very different. He said that he didn't hit Tushar but they just had an argument. He told the portal then, "Yes, we had an argument. While I was trying to express my disapproval at the change in look, Tushar was rude and said that I have no choice. He was threatening me to which I said that I have my ways of getting back. However, I never touched him. Tushar doesn’t know how to treat actors. He has had an episode with Tasneem Sheikh (she essays the role of Sindura Mittal) in the past. It was put to rest after he apologised."
