Shahid Kapoor makes his demands for Padmavati

Shahid Kapoor will be seen playing Deepika Padukone’s husband Raval Ratan Singh while Ranveer will be seen as Alauddin Khilji in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati.

However, buzz is, Shahid put forth a couple of conditions before signing the film. A source says, “Firstly, given that he has just became a father, he isn’t ready to shoot immediately.

He’s made it clear that he will shoot his sequences only after a few months. So, now Bhansali will shoot a song with Deepika which is why the sets are being put up. Secondly, he wanted a change in the script. Shahid was clear that if he signed the film he wouldn’t play second fiddle to Ranveer and that his role should be at par with the younger actor’s.

For SLB, it made sense to change the script as Shahid is a powerful performer and with Deepika and Ranveer it would just take the film a few notches higher.”
