Shah Rukh Khan to return as mafia gangster in 'Don 3', film's scripting half complete

After remaking the original way back in the mid 2000s, Farhan Akhtar gifted the industry with its sequel Don 2 three years back and as we all know, the makers left ample room to continue with the next edition to the Don franchise. In an interview with a leading news daily, producer Ritesh Sidhwani of Excel Entertainment confirmed that Don 3 will go on the floors soon.

He also affirmed that from the inception, it was Shah Rukh Khan who they had picturised as the new Don and after his successful stints as Don, he will return in his gangster avatar yet another time. He also stated that more than 50% of the film’s scripting is complete and Shah Rukh has already been taken on board once again.

While SRK’s presence in the film has been guaranteed, nothing has been revealed about Priyanka Chopra who played Roma in the previous two films in the franchise. Whether it would be Priyanka yet again or a new heroine will be roped in is what we need to wait and watch now.
