Baazigar: Always a trendsetter, Shah Rukh did a negative role in Baazigar at the very beginning of his career, a move that was considered 'suicidal' by many. But King Khan silensed naysayers with his incredible acting as a villain. Check out this chilling scene from the film which shows him at his evil best.

Devdas: SRK had large shoes to fill when he starred in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus as Devdas, a role essayed in the past by Dilip Kumar. While some say SRK could not match up to Dilip Kumar in the film, his fans believe that he did a great job. Well, we say, this is one of SRK's most memorable roles.

Veer Zaara: SRK yet again works his magic and brings alive the characters in a story of two lovers torn apart.

Swades: One of his best roles, SRK plays a NASA scientist, who returns to his village and embarks on a journey to rediscover his roots.

Don: Another example of King Khan's adventurous streak, SRK impressed us with his killer style in Don and Don 2. While Amitabh Bachchan fans believed that he could never pull it off, Shah Rukh reinvented the character to suit modern times.

Chak De! India: Considered to be the highest point in SRK's career, the film restored our faith in the actor. After getting a lot of flak for his 'over-the-top' style of acting, Shah Rukh delivered a fine performance as the tainted hockey player who has a point to prove.
