Lindsay Lohan caught in 'spitting' controversy

The week began with Lindsay Lohan making headlines for allegedly spitting on a barman after racially abusing him in New York on the weekend.

29-year-old Lindsay and her 22-year-old sister Ali walked into a bar and went straight into the washrooms. Around 20 minutes later, when the bartender asked them to come out and leave, the actress became aggressive and belligerent, reports news.com.au.

Reportedly, she started yelling at the bartender, who is originally from West Africa saying, "This is New York. You're not from here."

Other customers in the bar were less than impressed with the Mean Girls star's behaviour and yelled at her to leave.
