Highway promo: Why Randeep Hooda asks Alia Bhatt to shut up?

After piquing our curiosity with the captivating trailer of Highway, the makers of the film have come out with equally interesting dialogue promos from the film.

One of the promos has Alia sharing a light moment with her kidnappers where she is complaining about how everything tastes salty ever since she was taken on the road journey.

In the second promo, a sheepish Alia is seen apologising for her misbehaviour to Randeep, who yells at her and asks her to keep quiet. 

Another promo has some scenes from the film that are gripping and keep you hooked.

In Highway, director Imtiaz Ali tells the story of a girl who is kidnapped and taken to a safe house via road where she is to be held captive till the demands of the kidnappers is fulfilled. 

Initially, scared and confused, the girl, played by Alia Bhatt, starts enjoying the freedom she gains in captivity. She also ends up falling in love with her kidnapper (Randeep Hooda) and the two share some tender moments during their journey.

The unusual pairing of Alia and Randeep comes as a fresh breath of air, and surprisingly enough their chemistry translates well on the screen. 

While Highway's beautiful locales is one of the highlights of the film, it's Alia who manages to steal your attention in every frame. From playing a rich, spoilt babe in Student of The Year to essaying the part of a girl yearning for freedom; the Bhatt girl has come a long way for sure.

With talented actors, a soulful background score and a fluid narrative, Highway seems to be the kind of film that has something for everyone.

Let's hope the film lives up to the expectations generated from the promos.
