Expendables 3, Guardians of the Galaxy, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and more among the 10 action movies to watch out for in the second half of 2014

We are half way through 2014, with a number of action films like The Transformers, Planet of the Apes and Captain America already out, here is a look at the 10 most exciting action films for the latter half of this year.

1.The Expendables 3- Sylvester Stallone, Antonia Banderas, Jason Statham and Mel Gibson in one movie. This is surely one movie that no one would want to miss. The third part of this super hit franchise is set to release on August 15.

2. Hercules- 'The Rock' Dwayne Johnson will be playing the lead. This movie is set to release on July 25.

3. Lucy- This Scarlett Johansson and Morgan Freeman starrer directed by Luc Besson is absolutely unmissable. After transforming into a superhuman, Lucy can grasp knowledge spontaneously and even move objects with her mind, very Matilda-esque. Don't miss this, it releases on July 25.

4. Guardians of the Galaxy- This Marvel Comics superhero movie starring Zoe Saldanha and Chriss Pratt and Josh Brolin who will play 'Thanos' this action thriller  is set to release on August 1.

5. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles- Starring Megan Fox, this childhood favourite cartoon's full fledged movie is set to release on 8 August.

6. Sin City: A Dame to kill for- Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Jessica Alba, don't miss this sequel which is back on August 22.

7. The November Man- Pierce Brosnan is set to make a come back on August 27. Make sure you don't miss this.

8. A Walk Amongst the Tombstones- This Liam Neeson movie is set to 'take' you on a rollercoaster on September 19.

9. Dracula Untold- This drama-horror film starring Luke Evans is an absolute must-watch.

10. Fury - Brad Pitt, Shia LaBeouf and Logan Lerman in one movie, this war film set in the World War II period is set to releas on October 23.
