M S Sathyu's classic film on partition - Garam Hawa has been re-released this week after a little bit of restoration and rework done on the film. But the 84 year old filmmaker made statements when asked about Indian films today. The director did not mince words and reportedly shot back at some of the Indian actors and a particular genre of films.

While films like Dabangg, Chennai Express, Bang Bang and others are bringing in the numbers, M S Sathyu not only regarded them as trash films but also questioned the authenticity of their collections. On the contrary, he regarded film makers like Vishal Bhardwaj, Anurag Kashyap and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra among few others as the only good film makers present in today's generation.

Not just that, the director also claimed that Deepika Padukone is just a good looking girl who does not know how to act. He seemed to have not liked Deepika's films -be it Chennai Express or Goliyon ki Rasleela: Ram Leela. At a time when everyone in the industry is going gaga about the actress's acting talent, the remakrs from Garam Hawa director might not sound too pleasing to Deepika's ears!
