PM Narendra Modi was surprised on his China visit when he was welcomed to the tune of famous Hindi movie song 'Tu, tu hai wahi dil ne jise apna kaha.' A group of musicians played a rendition of the famous RD Burman song at an event in Wuhan on Friday.

The video of the welcome song is going viral and has received appreciation from Asha Bhosle, who provided the vocals for it, and Rishi Kapoor, who was the face of the song on screen. Asha Bhosle tweeted, "Pancham will smile hearing the popularity of his music even in China. I hope his genius is given official recognition in the country of his birth."

While Rishi Kapoor posted the original video of the song from 1982 movie Yeh Vaada Raha. Expressing his gratitude towards legendary composer RD Burman, fondly known as Pancham, Kapoor tweeted, "The Chinese played our song to welcome PM Modi along PM Xi in Wuhan. Honored. Thank you Pancham!."

The video of the musicians welcoming PM Modi shows him enjoying the tune with Chinese President Xi Jinping. Indian PM was smiling and appreciating the performance at a grand welcome ceremony at the Hubei Provincial Museum in Wuhan.

Chinese President Xi Jinping has seen a number of Indian films, including Hindi and regional, and believes it would be a good idea that Bollywood movies come to China and vice-versa. Xi had told Modi last year that he had watched Bollywood star Amir Khan's 'Dangal' movie and liked it.
